Wonderful Fall Fun in Tennessee

Now that we are back in Tennessee we have been enjoying the absolutely beautiful fall weather…it is much warmer here than in Canada, sure is going to be an adjustment when we move back!!! We have now visited 2 more farms since we got back from our vacation in Canada, I love farm animals. Here I am with a bunch of my friends at the farm expo located at our fairgrounds in Gray, TN. Everyone kept asking us what school we were from but we were just there with a bunch of our friends!!!

all the kids at farm expoHere is Ava and I holding Luke’s hands, he is quite the charmer!!!

CIMG1995 At the farm expo they had a bunch of cows there and they were showing all of us how to get milk from a cow. It was so cool…I love milk…and so do all of my friends!

The next day we went to Fender’s farm with my school. All of my friends and teacher’s went, it was so much fun. I got to wear my new rubber boots that mommy bought me because it was a little muddy, I loved splashing in the mud puddles…hehehe…mommy kept asking me not to!!!

We got to go on a tractor ride, pet farm animals, pick some pumpkins and decorate them and play with our friends, it was the perfect day!

Look at how cute my baby sister looks in this picture, she is just learning to sit up on her own and she kept falling over into the flowers.

CIMG2065 Although she isn’t able to sit up for more than a minute or so on her own, she does know how to crawl. If she really wants something she can crawl really fast…check out the video that mommy and daddy took.

We also had some pics taken of Paige since she is a baby and changes so much. Mommy and Daddy keep saying that they feel bad because they took mine every 3 months and poor Paige hasn’t had any done since she was 1 week old. They also tried to sneak in a few of me but I just wasn’t feeling it that day, well I cooperated for the family one but that was it for me!!!

Well last but not least, I want to share something that is both happy and sad for our family. Our home here in Tennessee is officially up for sale. We love it here but we will be moving back to Canada next year and the real estate market is not doing well here, so Mommy and Daddy decided best to put it up now. Check out the pics of our home and if you know anyone interested let us know!!!

Visit to Canada Fall 2010 Week Two

Okay, finally I have a moment to sit down and finish the blog post about our trip home to Canada. Week two was just as busy as week one if you can believe it! On Sunday we got together with a whole bunch of my “cousin friends” and went to an apple/pumpkin farm. It was freezing cold that day but it didn’t bother us kids one bit, we had a blast. I really enjoyed playing with Erik, Elsa, Heidi and Cameron, wish I could see them more often!!!

Yes Paige was there but it was so cold that she didn’t stay out too long, she was already fighting a cold so Daddy took her inside after awhile! Next year she will be running all over like us bigger kids and I think she will enjoy it more.

Gigi let me go on a horse ride when we were at the farm, the horse’s name was Copper and he was really nice. You can check out a video of me on the horse at

On Monday we got to go to another farm up in Alliston to meet up with Great Gramma Hollinger and Granny & Pop-Pop. They have friends, the Morrison’s, that live on a farm up there and it was the halfway point to meet between Toronto and Orillia. It was a beautiful day and Pat Morrison made us a lovely lunch, one of my favorites, lasagna. They have a bunch of cows and kitty cats, they are so lucky…!!! It was great to see Great Gramma H. and I owe her a big thanks for the Dora books she bought me, I love them!

CIMG1941

Emmie with the cats While I was having fun playing outside, Paige was indoors playing with all of the Morrison’s toys, they have plenty because they have lots of grandkids!

On Tuesday we decided to head on over to see the Conliffe cousins. They have a huge house with tons and tons of toys. I played dollhouse with Allie, she is lots of fun. Rebecca was very interested in my baby sister Paige. Sorry we don’t have many pics from that day, we were having so much fun that we forgot!!!

CIMG1943

That evening Auntie Sarah came over for a visit and like always she was full of energy and I had lots of fun playing with her. I showed her some of my new toys that Gigi bought me and I also sang her my ABC’s and told her how I can spell my name, she said she was very proud of me!!!

CIMG1947

CIMG1944On Wednesday we got the van all packed up, said goodbye to Gigi, Papa and Uncle Ryan and hit the road. Off we went to Ottawa, our soon to be new home! We went to visit with my godparents Uncle Brodie and Auntie Carrie and their new baby girl Sophie. We spent three days there and we had a great time. Sophie is adorable and a very good baby, she doesn’t cry nearly as much as my baby sister did at that age…lol!!!

CIMG1981 CIMG1979

They have two cats and a snake as pets…I chased their cats all over the house when we were there, not sure they liked me as much as I liked them! I even got up enough courage to pet the snake and for a split second I let Uncle Brodie put the snake around my neck but then I quickly changed my mind!!!

CIMG1952CIMG1975

CIMG1973

Look at what Uncle Brodie and Daddy thought was funny…yes that is me standing in the middle of a very high cat scratching house!

CIMG1954

Gigi and Papa sent a really neat gift for baby Sophie, it is a tummy time mat that has a thing in the middle that she lays on and can spin around the mat with. I think she likes it!!!

CIMG1960

We can’t wait to move to Ottawa, we did some touring around and it is a very nice city, a little cold but I think we will love it there. It will be great to get to see Uncle Brodie, Auntie Carrie and Sophie more often, I think Sophie is going to be one of our best friends!

CIMG1985

Well I think that is a wrap…on Saturday night we packed up all of our stuff and left Ottawa to make the very long road trip back to Tennessee, almost exactly 15 hours later we were back home in the United States of America!

Visit to Canada Fall 2010 Week One

We made it back to Tennessee on Sunday morning after a 15 hour car trip from Ottawa…it was a long one and we were all very happy to get into our own beds! We had an amazing two weeks back in Canada, it was great to get to see everyone. Now this post is going to be very long so I am going to break it up into week 1 and 2, so here goes….

We started our trip off with a lovely visit with Great Granny Cullen…we owe her a big thanks because she flew from Sudbury to Toronto just to see us and she hadn’t been on a plane in over 15 years, thanks very much!!! We laid low for a few days and just hung out with Great Granny, Papa, Gigi and Uncle Ryan, it was perfect.

We even got to go swimming in the pool at Gigi and Papa’s condo, the water was freezing because the heat pump broke the day before but that didn’t bug me one bit, I love to swim!!!

Great Granny made baby Paige her very own stocking that we can hang on Gigi’s and Papa’s mantle at Christmas this year. It looks just like the rest of ours, she did a great job. It is big enough for Santa to be able to fit lots of stuff in it, we were actually able to fit Paige inside…hehe…

Great Granny got this cute video of Paige in her Jolly jumper, check it out…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioav1YxyGWs

One night while Great Granny was visiting my cousin Heidi and her mommy and daddy came over for a visit. It was so nice to see them and get play with Heidi, we have so much fun together.

Emmie and HeidiCIMG1878

After Great Granny left to go back to Sudbury we spent a few days traveling around Toronto. One thing I really wanted to do was take the GO train, it so neat. So off we went to downtown toronto on the train, both Mommy and Gigi had to get their hair done!

CIMG1888CIMG1885Daddy came downtown with us and we spent some time walking around the city, it was a beautiful day. Baby Paige liked hanging out at the hair salon and she was trying to convince Mommy she should have her hair done too…silly girl, she doesn’t really have any hair yet!

CIMG1894 CIMG1891

Now that everyone had their hair done, the next thing we needed to do before going to Kahla and Colin’s wedding was pedicures and manicures. Friday morning Gigi, Mommy and I went to the nail salon and had a girls morning, it was so relaxing and everyone said I was such a good girl!!!

CIMG1897 That afternoon we met up with the Hollinger gang at Chudleigh’s apple farm. We got to spend some fun time with Pop-Pop, Granny and Tata, it was a wonderful day. I loved the farm there we tons of animals, pumpkins and slides to play with, I even got to ride a pony!

How silly do we look in this picture, poor Paige, she just wanted to put the wood in her mouth!!!

family farm picAfter the farm we drove out to Kitchener to Moose Winooski’s, which apparently is a restaurant that Mommy and Daddy use to visit when they went to university out there. The whole area has changed and they barely recognized it. We met up with Uncle Chris and had a nice family dinner.

The next day was the big day…Kahla and Colin’s wedding, the weather may not have been great but the day certainly was. We got to party with the whole family and all of my cousin friends were there and it was awesome. I loved dancing…mommy and daddy had to pull me off the dance floor at 11pm, I didn’t want to go home! Congratulations to Kahla and Colin, they looked just like a Princess and Prince!!!

kahla and colinMommy put Paige and I in matching dresses and we looked pretty darn cute, I guess we will keep letting her do that for just a little bit longer! Thanks to Auntie Sarah for letting us stay at her house the night of the wedding and to Auntie Amy for babysitting baby Paige. Paige only stayed at the wedding till dinner time and then off she went!

CIMG1901 paige and mommy at wedding daddy and emmie dancingIn order to get the bride and groom to kiss you had to hula hoop and they would kiss for as long as you could keep it going, so all of us little cousins got up and did our best! During the speeches daddy let us watch a movie on his iPad, it kept us nice and quiet…

emmie and heidi hula hoopemmie and heidi with ipad Gigi loves to dance, she tore up the dance floor with all of us kids, I think she danced with each and every one of us, it was so much fun!
