Family Disney Vacation 2010

I know it has been quite some time, as many of you may know things have been a little crazy for us Hollinger's! Mommy ended up having a whole bunch of problems after having baby Paige and was in the hospital twice over the past two weeks. To add to all that we also had a family vacation planned. Luckily in the end all went well, Mommy is now feeling better and we had a wonderful time on our vacation.
Gigi treated us to a family vacation in Orlando, which meant we got to go to Disney world, it is officially my new favorite place!!! It was so nice to also get to spend some time with my cousins; Dawn, Tyler, Patsy, Kristin, Tricia, Gail, Erik, Elsa and Cameron, I miss them all already...

We stayed in a really cool place that had tons of neat things for kids to do and lots of different pools. Erik and I did lots of swimming together, I am now able to swim all by myself with the help of some water wings!!! Thanks to my cousin Tyler for hanging out in the pool with me almost everyday.

My little sister Paige, slept all day around the pool, usually she was in her stroller in the shade but every once in a while she would convince daddy to let her sleep on him!
Our resort had animals there one day and I got to meet a crocodile and a cockatoo. I even got to pet the
crocodile, yes touch it!!!

We went to Disney World a couple of times; to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood studios, and the Animal Kingdom. Here are a few pics from our adventures at Disney!

When we went to the Animal Kingdom we got to pet some animals, here I am petting a very big goat! We also went on a safari and saw tons of different animals; rhino's, hippos, giraffe's, elephants....I loved it!!!
Here are a few videos of us at Disney World's a Magic Kingdom!

One night we went to one of the Disney resorts called the Disney Boardwalk and got to see the fireworks display, it was really neat. I wasn't too sure about the loud noises at first but it was really pretty!.

While we were away it was Gigi's birthday so we all went out for dinner one night to celebrate, of course we don't have a picture of it, but we did have lots of fun!!! On Gigi's birthday she babysat Paige so that Daddy, Mommy and I could go to Disney Hollywood studios on our own which makes things much easier, Paige doesn't really like these things yet and she can't be in the sun....silly girl! Thanks Gigi for everything!!!

Well that is it for vacation pics, we have tons more but this blog is already getting really long and we still have a few more things to share. Right before we left we had a visitor, my Great Uncle Howard. He bought a car in California and was driving by so he stopped in for a visit. The car is super old and called a Model T or soemthing along those lines, it was really neat!

One last thing I thought I would share is about my end of year program from school. We had a get together with all the families and friends from my school and all the kids did a program for the adults. We practiced for weeks and I had a few songs to sing but when I got up in front of all the people I froze, I think I had stage fright, I just stood there. My teacher told Mommy afterwards that I did great in practice, oh well, better luck next year!!!

Here is my cute little sister, she got all dressed up for my end of year party at school, doesn't she look adorable! She was very well behaved and didn't cry at all during the program, thanks Paige!!!

Well we are all still recouping from our vacation and I think it might be time to have dinner. I promise not to wait so long till I post another blog.

Love y'all,
Emmie and Paige

Welcome home to Canada!

Well, Paige's first trip to Canada was a success!!! We had two car rides and two plane rides to get there and mommy and daddy said we were both great travelers, they were very happy with how well things went. Our trip home wasn't as successful, thanks to Continental airlines but we did make it back safe and sound!

My baby sister Paige got a chance to meet so many people for the very first time. Look at how excited she was to meet Uncle Ryan and Papa! Uncle Ryan looks great and he is doing well since he had his surgery.

We tried not to jam pack our schedule this time but we still did see lots of people. We drove up to Orillia to meet Great Gramma H and some of the Hollinger family. Then we drove over to Victoria Harbour to meet Grandmere and Great Grandpa Ben. It was so nice to get to see all of them.

Here is Paige with daddy's cousin Mindy.

Mindy's little girl is named Presley and it was her first time meeting all of us, including Paige!

Here is Grandmere holding baby Paige, she was very happy to get to meet Paige and of course to see me!

All the girls in the family together for a nice visit!

On Saturday Gigi hosted a "Meet Paige" party at our cousin Lynn and Larry's house. All of our cousins and a bunch of Mommy and Daddy's friends were there, it was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun. Gigi had this really neat cake made, check it out, the whole thing was edible! As you can see we have had lots to celebrate.

Here are a bunch of pics from the party. We played outside with bubbles, had a dance party in the living room, ate some cake and baby Paige got to meet lots of people, including her Godmothers; Auntie Sarah and Auntie Amy, don't they look proud!

I was so excited to see Kiki and Bobo, they drove all the way from Ottawa to come to the party!

We were quite lucky that our church back in Mississauga agreed to do Paige's baptism while we were home. It was super early on Sunday morning but everything went really well. Paige slept through the water being poured over her and everything. Thanks to everyone who came out to the baptism, it was great to have you all there.
Paige got to meet Tata and Uncle Chris for the first time at her baptism, they drove up with Granny and Pop-pop from Woodstock, it was nice to get to see them!
Mommy found Paige a very pretty dress, she was going to wear mine but it was way too big! Here is a picture of her wearing the nice sweater that Great Granny made for me, I was very happy to be able to share it with Paige.
Papa wasn't able to come to the baptism but we saw him afterwards and sat and opened all the wonderful gifts everyone bought for both of us. Thanks to everyone for the lovely gifts, Paige and I love them all!

Here is an updated picture of Paige that mommy took this morning, she is growing so fast, can't wait till we can play together! Also, check out the neat thing Paige sleeps in...

Well that is all for now. Daddy is at work all day till tomorrow and Paige is crying so I think we must go!!!

Love y'all,
Emmie and Paige
