Christmas has come and gone…we all had a great time visiting with family and friends over the holidays! Our celebrations started out with a visit from Auntie Sarah, she is always so much fun. I can see why she is such a good teacher, I hope I will have a teacher as cool as her!
Next we headed out to our big family Christmas party at cousins Lynn & Larry’s house. This is always such a great party. We have so much fun playing and hanging out with all of our cousins. It sure would be nice to live closer to everyone, maybe one day! A big thanks to Lynn and Larry for having us all over and of course for managing to get Santa to come again this year!!!
We tried to get a picture with all of us kids sitting with Santa but it didn’t quite work…I am hidden behind Cameron who forgot to turn around to look at the camera, silly boy! We did however get a pretty good picture of all the adult cousins!
To finish off the night we had our traditional kids dance party…soon we are all going to be too big to fit in that room together!
On Christmas Eve we had a nice visit with Auntie Amy who just got home from Costa Rica, sounds like she had a great time and she had a very nice tan!
In the evening we went out to the Toddler’s Mass at St. Peter’s church, it was such a nice service. Paige and I got to participate with all the other kids. I even got selected by the Reverand Jennifer to light one of the candles…yes they let me play with fire!
We had a nice visitor this year on Christmas Eve and Christmas day…Grandmere! It was great to get to spend some time with her, I even got to sleep in the same bed with her and I did my best not to kick her too much!
Not sure what happened with the pics we took with her but every single one is very blury, sorry Grandmere! On christmas night we tracked Santa on the computer so we could see that he was on track to arrive at Gigi’s…sure enough he made it!
Check out all the presents we got…I think it is safe to say Paige and I were very good girls in 2011!
We had a wonderful day on Christmas morning (Paige was up first) and a fantastic dinner that night that Grandmere and Gigi made for all us. They both spent hours in the kitchen and everything tasted perfect. Thanks to them both for the wonderful Christmas dinner!
Unfortunately this year we had to head back home to Ottawa on Boxing day because both Mommy and Daddy had to get back for work! We didn’t make it North to see our family in Sudbury or Orillia, we miss them all so much. We promise to head north early in the new year. We did get in a nice Skype call with Great Granny and all the family in Sudbury.
On our way home we made a pit stop at Uncle Howard and Aunt Terry’s house just outside Whitby. It was really nice to see them…too bad we missed the Payne family christmas party on the 27th! Sounds like everyone had fun.
We also missed seeing Granny and Pop-Pop & Tata and Uncle Chris this year. We did manage a Skype call with Granny and Pop-Pop down in California where they are soaking up the sun. It was nice to see them and wish them a Merry Christmas!
Here are a few last pictures of Paige and I playing with our toys…now we need to get dressed and head out in the snow storm we are having to get some groceries for New Year’s Eve. This year will be kind of quiet not like the parties in Tennessee…Daddy has to work all night but luckily Uncle Ryan is coming in on the train and Sophie is coming over too!
