Christmas, Christmas, Time is here…

We have been very busy participating in many fun christmas time events and parties. First things first, was a christmas party at our house with all of the residents that daddy works with and their families. Paige and I got dressed up in some of the pretty outfits that Gigi sent down for us, everyone kept saying how cute we looked.

As some of you might remember from the previous years we have this really neat Christmas lights festival at the Bristol Speedway track and this year we did it again. This was Paige’s first time and I think she really like it. For my first time ever, Daddy and I got go skating at the festival, they have an indoor rink they setup at the track, it was awesome!

This year Daddy let me sit on his lap while we drove around looking at the lights…and don’t tell anyone but he also let me drive the car, I felt like such a big girl!

When we were all done looking at the lights we got to go inside the track and go on some fun rides, roast marshmallows, eat kettle corn and drink hot chocolate, it was the perfect night! Oh, and of course the most important thing of all…Paige and I got to see Santa, we sat on his knee and told him what we wanted for Christmas!

On Friday night this past week we got to do something so magical…we went on the Polar Express train to the north pole. We went with our friends Kahla, Sadie, Bryan and April to this little town called Bryson City in North Carolina. This is where we got on the Polar Express train, it was just like the movies.

We got to wear our pyjama’s on the train and the conductor came and punched our tickets. There were also chefs on the train that sang and danced and brought us hot chocolate and treats.

We read the Polar Express book on our way to the North Pole and saw Santa’s house and the toy workshop and even where the Grinch lives. Then Santa appeared on our train, he gave us all our own jingle bell and he sat down to talk to us and asked that we be really good girls! On the way back to the train station we sang lots of christmas carols, it was so much fun.

All in all it was a fantastic night, we had so much fun! After we got of the train at 9:30pm we took a few more christmas pictures then we piled into our cars and drove back to Johnson City, TN. We are all so glad we got to experience this magical night before we move back to Canada for next Christmas!!!

Happy American Thanksgiving 2010

We spent the weekend celebrating the American Thanksgiving. This was Paige’s first thanksgiving holiday and since she is American we decided it was important for her to see what it is all about. Daddy had to work but we were invited to our friends the Prudhomme’s house for dinner. We had an amazing turkey dinner with lots of great fixin’s and I got to play with Sadie and Kahla it was perfect!!!

We did manage to get in a very quick visit with Daddy and bring him some of the yummy leftovers for his dinner. Daddy was also working on the Saturday of the holiday weekend so Mommy, Paige and I decided to take off for the night to Pigeon Forge. We went to Dollywood which is a lot like Canada’s wonderland, it was so much fun.

Paige took a little nap in our stroller while I went on a whole bunch of fun kids rides.

CIMG2326

We also got to ride on a real coal choo-choo train that took us for a ride up the mountain, it was beautiful.

Here is a picture Mommy took of her and Paige sitting on the train, she did a pretty good job!

And here is a picture of me on the train, I had so much fun!

CIMG2286 We got to go in to Santa’s workshop but he was out feeding his reindeer so I didn’t get to see him but I did write him a letter and drop it in his mail box. I also got to play in the workshop and colour on this jumbo colouring book.

After we were all done at the park we went up the mountain to a cabin that we rented for one night. It was a spectacular cabin, it was built on a creek and had some really neat things. My bedroom had its own fireplace, TV and king size bed, it was so cool. Oh and my room had a bathroom with a tub with water that came out of the wall like a fountain!

CIMG2333 Once Paige and I were in bed, Mommy got to relax in the hot tub before crashing for a good nights sleep!

When we got back this afternoon we decided it was time to turn our house into a Christmas wonderland. Daddy and I put up the lights outside and then we helped Mommy decorate the christmas tree. We have so many cool christmas ornaments, it was lots of fun to look at all of them. Best of all Mommy made us some yummy hot chocolate, it was the perfect night!
