Happy 1st Birthday Paige – We love you!

It is hard to believe that my baby sister Paige is already 1. I remember the day mommy and daddy went to the hospital to have her, everybody was so excited, including me! Her birthday celebrations began on March 24th (her actual birthday)…mommy spent the morning with her at Wallabies with some friends, I had to go to school!

Gigi was suppose to arrive around lunch time and come pick me up from school but unfortunately her airplane kept getting delayed but luckily she made it just in time for Paige’s birthday dinner! We went to a really yummy italian restaurant, Paige’s favorite…our nice waiter also brought her an ice cream sundae with a candle in it. We all sang her happy birthday and Gigi and I helped blow out her candle!

Gigi’s suitcase was super full and she had barely any room for her own clothes because she brought us so many things. Thanks Gigi, Papa and Uncle Ryan for all of the new clothes and toys, we love all of them! She also brought down birthday gifts from our cousins the Silva’s and to no surprise we both loved our gifts, thanks so much!

We also got a chance to get on Skype with lots of people over the past few days so they could wish Paige a happy birthday! We love getting to see everyone on Skype but it just isn’t the same as seeing all of you in person, we miss everyone so much! Granny and Pop-Pop are still living in the desert so they shipped Paige some birthday gifts and she opened them while we were all on Skype together. They got her some great new toys and clothes, she wanted me to pass along a big thank you!

We had a big 1st birthday party at our house on Saturday, there was lots to do to get ready. Gigi and Mommy took Paige with them to get all the groceries for food and pick up the cake and I got to go with Daddy and get the balloons and decorations. Check out the really nice poster I made all by myself for my baby sister, not bad if I do say so myself!!!

We decorated the whole house in a 1st birthday theme, it looked great. We had 10 kids, 3 babies (1 year olds) and 15 adults at the party…all of our wonderful friends from Tennessee, who we are going to miss very much when we move back to Canada. We had a nice BBQ dinner and cake!

DSC_0484 DSC_0488DSC_0487DSC_0489  DSC_0532Check out the super cute shirt that Paige’s God Mommies had made for her…everyone kept saying how nice it was! I think she loved it!!!DSC_0495 DSC_0503Here are pics of Paige and I sitting by the door waiting for all of our friends to arrive at the party! We were both so excited we couldn’t wait for everyone to get there so we could party….DSC_0512 We always seem to forget to snap a family photo on special occasion’s but for once we remembered and it turned out pretty good!DSC_0526

I got to play princesses and dress up with all of my friends that were at the party, it was so much fun, I had just enough dresses for all of us, all 8 little girls!!! Mommy and Gigi have been cleaning up sparkles all day…ooops!

DSC_0596Paige had her very own tinkerbell cake…it was my suggestion and it was just perfect! She loved having us sing her happy birthday and I am pretty sure she loved her cake even more. All of the rest of us got to dig into the really nice cupcake cake that was in the shape of a 1!DSC_0539 DSC_0540 DSC_0549 DSC_0553DSC_0562 Paige sat in her very own chair while everyone watched her open her gifts, she got some cool toys and really pretty summer clothes!DSC_0570 Instead of doing loot bags for her party mommy decided to get a cupcake pinata and fill it up with tons of yummy treats. All of us bigger kids each got to grab a string and pull really hard, then we scrambled to the ground and picked up as much candy as we could, it was lots of fun!DSC_0573 DSC_0574 Paige played strange with her “boyfriend” Grant at the beginning of the night but by the end they were having lots of fun together!DSC_0590

When the party was all done the house was pretty messy, everyone kept saying it looked like a tornado went through my room and our playroom downstairs, but at least we had fun!!! We must give a big thank you to Gigi for all her help cleaning up after the party, she was such a big help to Mommy, “THANKS GIGI”. We are having such a nice visit with Gigi and luckily she is here for one more week!

Today we got to see some more friends on Skype, Uncle Brodie, Auntie Carrie and Sophie…Sophie is getting so big and it was great to play with her via the computer. We also got to see Tata & Uncle Chris, they sent some presents in the mail and we opened them on Skype. We love our books, reading is one of our favorite things to do, thanks so much! It was a great Sunday and miss all of you.

Well that is all for now, hope everyone has a great week. One last thing, here is a cute video of Paige eating her birthday cake!!!

Love y’all,

Disney On Ice…what more should I say!!!

One of my birthday gifts was tickets to see Disney Princesses on Ice. Each and every one of the princesses I love and adore were there, it was fantastic. Mommy let me wear my Princess Aurora dress to the show, it was so much fun. My friends Ava and Sophia were there and they were dressed as Ariel and Cinderella!

On Friday this past week Mommy and I decided we were going to bake some cookies when Paige was on her morning nap. We had lots of fun making them but unfortunately they got really, really, burnt in the oven. The recipe called for 400 F which apparently is way too hot…mommy just kept saying “I am not a baker”! Don’t worry mommy, we will have better luck next time!!!

Mommy and I were baking these cookies for a party we were having that night. Daddy had some friends over from the clinic he works in for a Rockband party!!! Daddy loves playing rockband but doesn’t get the chance to much anymore so he had a blast, as did everyone else!

My friends and I had a great time dressing up and dancing to the music.

Today was a busy day…we had a house showing (our third one this week) and it was at the exact time of a birthday party we had to attend for our friend Atley, he just turned 1. This meant we had to take the dogs with us to the party and let them stay in the van, luckily it all went well. Now if only we could get someone to buy our house, mommy keeps saying “maybe third times a charm”!

Here is Paige and I getting ready to head out for Atley’s party, we were both very excited!

DSC_0273 DSC_0264 DSC_0268 DSC_0272 Atley’s mommy did such a great job decorating for his party, I think my mommy was getting lots of ideas for Paige’s upcoming party!

CIMG3049 CIMG3050  Here is Paige sitting beside Atley and for no reason she just started to cry which is exactly what she did the first time she met him when they were both just weeks old…silly girl!CIMG3060 CIMG3084CIMG3069 CIMG3083

Paige watched Atley very closely while he blew out his candles and ate his cake, I think she was soaking it all in so she knows what to do at her party in three weeks time!

Here is Paige being a funny girl, wearing my sunglasses!

They had this really neat string pinata that us bigger kids got to crack open and inside there was so much candy. Being the smart little girl that I am (or so that is what everyone kept telling me), I took one of the birthday cone hats, turned it upside down and used it to get as much candy as I could! I was super excited!!!

Well, one last thing, this week in the mail we got Paige’s official documentation that she is now a Canadian citizen. Up until now she has only been an American but as of Friday she is now a dual citizen…lucky girl!

It is time for bed, hope everyone has a great Sunday!
