Can you believe it, two blog posts in just one week…. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter with all your family and friends. Despite the fact that Daddy had to work most of the weekend, we made the best of it and had a great weekend full of fun and most importantly celebrating that “God arose from the dead”, I am still trying to understand how that happened but it sounds like everyone was very happy!
We started off our holiday weekend on thursday night with a Skype call from Granny and Pop-Pop. It was great to see them and get to pretend they were with us celebrating, they sent us a gift package in the mail that we opened while they watched!
Next up on Good Friday was a visit to my friend Olivia’s house. We did some egg colouring and an easter egg hunt. Paige, Olivia and I did a good job at finding all of the eggs and sharing with eachother, it was lots of fun.
On Saturday, as soon as Daddy got home from work at 9am we headed out the door to a Maple Sugar Bush Farm for a wonderful family day. Paige and I got to help some bunnies find their eggs they lost and in return they gave us a nice treat bag, then we got to pet some farm animals and last but not least we got to have a really nice pancake brunch buffet, it was super yummy. This was such a great idea and we have mommy to thank!
Paige and I got the best suprise after nap time on Saturday, not only did Uncle Ryan show up all the way from Mississauga so did the Easter Bunny. The Easter bunny snuck into our house without mommy noticing and laid a trail of eggs from each of our rooms down to the rec room and at the end of each trail was a whole bunch of nice gifts. The Easter bunny also hid eggs all over our whole house but Paige and I are so good at finding them, we found them all!
Mommy made us a nice dinner on Saturday night and we had a nice evening together and watched the movie HOP that Gigi sent to us as an Easter gift, along with lots of other nice things! On Easter morning Daddy had to leave super early so Paige and I made sure we got up early so we could spend some time with him. When we were sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast I looked outside and saw a whole bunch of eggs, not sure if the Easter bunny came back or if we just missed them on Saturday. Either way Paige and I were super excited and we got bundled up and headed out to find them all!
Since Uncle Ryan was in town we decided what better to do on easter sunday then head to “Cosmic Adventure”, the largest indoor playground in Ontario!!! We had so much fun, turns out they had lots of activities on going during the day for easter. Paige and I both got air brushed tatoos, we participated in a scavenger hunt and we won (with the help of Mommy and Uncle Ryan) and we played a huge game of tag, it was fantastic!
To finish off the day, Uncle Ryan treated us to a fancy dinner at a nice Italian restaurant, we got all dressed up in our Easter dresses! After dinner we decided to suprise Daddy with a take-out pizza and a visit. We went up to the NICU to visit with him and all the nurses, everyone kept saying how we made their day!!!
