Back home in Canada!

We arrived home in Canada almost two weeks ago. Unfortunately our reason for coming home was not a happy one, our Great Grandpa Ben was really sick when we arrived and he passed away just 2 days after we got home. We are so sad that he is gone but we know he is in a better place. We got to spend some time with Grandmere and meet some of our family that we haven't met before. I took a real liking into my Great Uncle Peter, he was lots of fun, at 75 he had no problem giving me piggybacks!!!

We stayed up at Gigi and Papa's house and it was so nice to hang out with my Papa, even Paige really enjoyed laying in bed with him. We also got the chance to take Papa out for a Father's day dinner at his favorite Italian restaurant!

We have also been really lucky to have the time to see lots of family and friends over the past 2 weeks. I went to Canada's Wonderland with Mommy, Uncle Ryan and my friend Cassie and her mommy. It was so much fun, I definitely want to go back!!!

Cassie also invited me over for a pool party at her house one night. I swam for at least 3 hours all by myself, just me and my waterwings. Cassie and I had so much fun in the pool, check out the video below to see what a big girl I am!

Auntie Sarah was able to come over and she played with both Paige and I in the pool, she is so much fun!!! I can't wait for the visit that she and Auntie Amy will be making down to Tennessee in just a few days.

We finally made it up to Sudbury to visit Great Granny and all my cousins, we even got to see one of Mommy's friends from when she was a little girl. I had so much fun playing with Karsen, Konner and Raeleigh. The boys were wild and have lots of fun toys and Raeleigh and I played dress up and watched movies, I can't wait to go back.

Wow, we did so much when we were here I didn't realize it until I started to write this blog. We also got to go to a baseball game in the Loblaw's box with my cousin Robin and her kids. I really like baseball, I watch it all the time with Papa and it was so neat to see it in person. My favorite part was watching Ace the Blue Jay bird! All of my cousins were very interested in my baby sister Paige, they kept trying to help out.

Paige and I also got treated to a spa day with Gigi and Mommy. I got my finger nails and toe nails painted. We all chose a different shade of purple so we were all matching! It was so neat, I had my very own kiddie spa chair that did massages and everything. My favorite part was the warm blue water that they soaked my feet in, but I wasn't a big fan of the jets, so they just turned them off for me.

I also got to visit with Granny, Pop Pop and Great Gramma H. They made the trip to Mississauga from Orillia to see us, this way we didn't have to put up with another car ride with Paige, she hates the car....our trip back to Tennessee is not going to be much fun! They brought Paige and I some really nice toys/books to play with. We took them to a play center called Kidtopia, it was like a kid zoo, it was so much fun!!! Oh, I forgot to mention that Daddy was finally able to join us in Canada this weekend, it was so nice to see him, Paige and I missed him very much!

Last but not least, we had a nice visit with my cousin Heidi and her mommy and daddy. They had us over for a nice dinner and dessert! Heidi and I had lots of fun playing together with all her toys and dancing together. I can't wait for Heidi to come and visit my in Tennessee, just 4 weeks away!

Well that is all for now...we are getting ourselves all packed up to hit the road tonight for our trip home to Tennessee! Wish us luck...we will need it!!!

One more thing, for those of you who hadn't already heard, Daddy has some very exciting news, he got a fellowship job in Ottawa. His job starts on July 1st, 2011 in the NICU's at the Ottawa General and CHEO hospitals. We are so happy that we get to move back home to Canada. We love it in Tennessee and all the great friends we have made but it will be nice to be back in Canada.

Love y'all,
Emmie and Paige
