Happy Mother’s Day 2011

Today was a wonderful day! We made mommy a yummy breakfast, then we treated her out to a fantastic lunch at Guiseppe’s (our fav. italian food) and then we went shopping, it just doesn’t get much better than that. The weather was beautiful and now we are relaxing on the couch watching the Princess Diaries movie!

In case you are wondering, no my hair hasn’t grown super long in just a few weeks. I got this really neat Tangled hair piece that attaches to my hair and lights up just like Rapunzel!!!

My silly sister decided she wanted to suck on a lemon and she really seemed to like it. Apparently I did the same thing when I was a baby, but I don’t remember that…

We hope every mommy out there had a wonderful day today because you all deserve it!

Over the past few weeks we have been busy getting ready for our big move and in order to give mommy a chance to do some packing without us kids in the house, Paige has started going to school with me at Fordtown. Her best buddy Grant is also attending school with her, here are a few pics from their first day!

Earlier this week we had an end of year picnic at a local playground with all the kids and teachers from our school. It was a gorgeous day but at one point it looked like it was snowing because of all the pollen in the air. It has been a really bad year for allergies! Both nonetheless we had a great time playing and eating our lunch.

Paige and Grant were so tired from all their playing that they both decided to take a nap together in our double stroller, how cute are they!

Oh and how could I forget the Royal Wedding…mommy and Paige got up to watch it live at 6am but I watched it just a few hours later on our PVR. It was so magical, I loved every moment! I hope one day I can be a Princess just like Princess Catherine!!!

Yes that is my American Flag, I couldn’t find our Canadian one but I guess I better find it when we move to Ottawa of all places!!!

Well, that is all for tonight, I hope everyone has a great week. The countdown is on, just 15 days till we move to Canada…wish us luck getting ready!

Happy Easter 2011

DSC_0002

We have had a wonderful Easter weekend, filled with fun, friends and lots of chocolate! The festivities began on Thursday at my school, we had a really nice party with all my teachers and classmates. Plus Mommy, Daddy and Paige were able to come as well, it was fantastic.

The Easter bunny came to the school when we were eating lunch and hid a whole bunch of eggs outside. I must say I am pretty good at finding easter eggs!!! I think you will be able to see from the picture below that we were all super excited to see the easter eggs…

Paige had fun hanging out with her buddy Grant while us bigger kids went egg hunting! Both Paige and Grant are going to be joining us at school for the last 4 weeks, should be lots of fun to have them there.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, 85 F so we had our first dark party of the year. We got together with a bunch of our neighbor friends and had a BBQ with an easter egg hunt and an outdoor movie. It was the perfect evening, we all had lots of fun. We are certainly going to miss everyone when we move! Check out the neat signs that the Easter Bunny left for us so we knew where to go….

We had two egg hunts one during the day with just Ella, Fisher and I and then we had a huge one after dinner with all of the other neighborhood kids. I got so many eggs, I can’t even count that high! Paige just watched all of us, she still isn’t walking and does not really like crawling in the grass either, silly girl!!!

Once it got dark out, we all got cozy on some blankets and watched the movie Tangled outside, it was just like being at the drive-in!

This morning (Easter Sunday) I was a little tired from our fun night so I slept in till 8:30am. Paige and I woke up to find two easter egg trails from our bedrooms to the living room and at the end of the trail was a bunch of wonderful gifts. Some of the gifts were from the Easter Bunny and somehow Uncle Ryan, Gigi and Papa also had a bag of gifts for us there too! Not only that I could smell some yummy chocolate chip pancakes that Mommy made while I was still asleep, it was a fantastic morning!

When it was Paige’s morning nap, we went outside since it was already 80F by 10:30 am and we coloured some eggs. We painted them different colours and then put glitter and stickers all over them, it was so much fun!

After the perfect Easter morning we got all dressed up and headed to town for a nice lunch at Cafe Lola. We had some really yummy food and even better a chocolate fondue for dessert, it was great!
