Paige 1st birthday invite
Wednesday, February 23, 2011
It feels like spring is here…but it is February!
We have been having fantastic weather here in Tennessee, something we are definitely going to miss when we move to Ottawa. Last week Daddy had to go to New Orleans for a conference which meant we were on our own for 4 days. Daddy had a presentation to do at the conference and he won an award, we are so proud of him, “Way to go Daddy”!!!
It sounds like Daddy had a great time in New Orleans, it was his first time in that city. Of course he didn’t come back home empty handed, he brought each of us back something special. Check out what I got…
I am all ready for a masquerade ball. Daddy bought the mask in New Orleans and it just happened to match perfectly with my dress!!!
Daddy has only had 2 days off all month and it just so happened when he was off on Sunday it was the Heritage Hockey Classic in Calgary. Daddy’s favorite team “the Flames” was playing against Montreal, so we got all dressed up in our flames shirts and watched the game together and they won!
We have been spending lots of time outside with Mommy since the weather is so nice. Here are some pics Mommy took of Paige and I at the park on Monday, we had a blast! I think Paige really likes the swing…just like me when I was a baby, or so I have been told!!!
Well that is all for now, time to start the day and make some plans with Mommy and Paige. Not sure what we will be up to today. Hope everyone has a great week!
Love y’all,

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone
It is a very Happy Day today, as I always say when it is a nice sunny day. Here in Tennessee the sun is shining bright and it is 55 degrees F (15 C), it is just beautiful. I had gymnastics this morning and here is a picture of Paige and I in our Valentine’s day outfits!
Paige and I have been very lucky because we have so many people that love us a lot. We have gotten to celebrate Valentine’s day for the past 5 days. Wednesday night last week we got on Skype with Granny and Pop-Pop and they shipped us a present that we opened with them over the computer. We got the cutest matching outfits and some valentine’s stickers!!!
Then on Thursday Paige and I got to go to a Valentine’s day party at my school. We had pizza and cupcakes, it was so much fun. I also danced up a storm for all the parents and kids, everyone kept saying how cute I was. Paige also had fun playing with all of the big kids in my class!!!
Then on Sunday night we got to go on Skype with Gigi, Papa and Uncle Ryan and they too had presents for Mommy to give to us and open with them on the computer. We each got Valentine’s day shirts and we got a really neat Toy Story game for the TV and a lion cub that purrs, open his eyes and responds to petting.
Thanks to all of our wonderful grandparents for the lovely V-day gifts, we love’em!!!
Over the past two weeks Daddy has been working like crazy, he has only had 1 day off. In order for Mommy to keep her sanity we have been having lots of dance parties at our house. Paige and I love to dance!
Oh, by the way, I dressed my sister up in the pink tutu, doesn’t she look adorable!
Check out the video of Paige, Mommy and I dancing together one night…don’t mind us, we are all in our jammies, mommy says not to look to closely at her!!!
Well, that is all for now…off to take my afternoon nap and then have a nice valentine’s dinner with Mommy, Daddy and Paige!
Happy Valentine’s day and love y’all,

Happy Birthday to Me – 3 years old Already!!!
Mommy and Daddy keep saying they can’t believe I am 3 years old already. I was so excited to celebrate my birthday with all of my family and friends over the weekend. Since I was turning 3 I thought it was a good idea to celebrate for three days…my Auntie Amy taught me that one!!!
On Friday night Gigi took us out for a really nice dinner at Carabba’s Italian restaurant and I made sure to tell everyone that is was my birthday. Our waitress was really nice and suprised me with a big ice cream sundae!
I am such a nice big sister and agreed to share some of my ice cream with Paige…well I think everyone had a few bites!
I also got to start opening gifts on Friday…a package arrived on Friday morning from my cousins Dawn and Tyler in Canada. I even got to get on Skype with Tyler in New York to thank him, it was great to see him!
I was so excited Friday night I had a hard time falling asleep because I couldn’t wait for my party the next day. Mommy and Daddy planned a party for me at my Gymnastics place, I love gymnastics. All of my friends met me at Pizza Hut first where Gigi treated everyone to Pizza, it was really yummy. Then we got to go to Gymnastics and have tons of fun!!!
At gymnastics there were 11 toddlers and 3 babies all the same age as Paige. We got to jump on the trampoline, swing into the foam pit and go down the zipline, it was a blast!
I think Paige and Grant wished they could be running around with all of us big kids.
Mommy tried to get a picture of all of us sitting down together, but unfortunately she wasn’t very successful, we are all just too excited!
Paige was having lots of fun hanging out with Gigi!
After we were all done playing we got to have birthday cake. Everybody sang Happy Birthday to me and I got to blow out a bunch of Barbie candles. My theme for my party was “Barbie” and check out the cool cake that Gigi found for me, isn’t it awesome!
Mommy also made me some cupcakes that were really pretty…just to make sure we had enough!!!
My party was fantastic and I want to thank everyone for coming and for all the wonderful gifts. When I got home I sat down and played with all my new toys, it was so exciting. Eventually I had to go to bed because my actual birthday was the next morning. When I woke up, Gigi and Mommy were already awake and they sang me happy birthday, it was a great way to get up!
Once I ate breakfast and got all dressed it was time to open some more presents. A bunch of presents arrived in the mail on Saturday and Gigi brought some from Canada too!
Here I am opening my gifts from Granny and Pop-Pop, they shipped them all the way from California which is where they are currently living. I loved all my gifts from them, my new clothes and best of all my Princess carriage for my zhu zhu pets. They are 3 hours behind us and I just couldn’t wait to open my gifts…hehe, but I did see them later in the day on Skype and got to thank them in person!
Next I got to open a really big gift from Auntie Sarah, she sent it down here with Gigi. I was so excited when I got it open to see that it was a gigantic Princess sticker and colouring book. I sat down at the table and played with it for over an hour, thanks so much!
My next gif was wrapped in what I figured out was Toy’s R us paper and it was from my Auntie Amy. Funny story with this gift, she ordered it online and it was suppose to be Chutes and Ladders game but it turned out to be a double stroller cover, Toy’s r us sent the wrong gift. But no worries we went to the store later that night and I did get the right thing, thanks Auntie Amy. I played the game with Daddy yesterday and it was lots of fun!!!
Uncle Ryan sent some gifts down with Gigi as well, here I am opening them. He got me two miniature American Girl dolls, their names are Ruthie and Julie and they love my doll house, thanks Uncle Ryan!!!
Last but not least was my gifts from Gigi and Papa, they got me tons of neat things. I got some really cool painting kits, a new book for my leap frog Jr. and a fashion doll for the bath, now I have so many things to play with. Thanks for all the great gifts!!!
My birthday weekend was fantastic and I loved getting to talk to everyone on the phone and on Skype, it seemed like both the computer and the phone were always ringing, it was awesome! It was a beautiful day out on the 30th, it was 60 F and sunny, a little different than last year when I turned 2…it was snowing and very cold!!! Since it was so nice I got to go outside and use the roller blades I got for Christmas, I must say that I did a really good job!
It was a fantastic birthday and I am so happy to be 3 years old!!! One thing I am not sure I remembered to share this on one of my last blogs so I thought I would do it now. A few weeks ago I finally threw away my diapers…I no longer need them, I am potty trained. I wear panties all the time now and pull-ups only when I sleep at night!!!
Well, that is all for now, hope everyone has a great week!
Love y’all,
Emmie and Paige
